I’m a copywriter and creative who helps businesses find their voice and talk to their customers in an engaging way. I spent 15 years as a creative and writer in advertising agencies working on brand, retail, direct marketing and online – and for all sorts of clients from FMCG to finance, beauty, banking, telecommunications and more. My advertising background has given me a strong strategic sensibility and desire to create great work that works hard.
Since 2013 I have been working for myself, collaborating with design companies and advertising agencies, and direct to businesses. I use my skills and experience developed over 20+ years to focus on brand development – creating names, taglines and brand stories along with brand positioning and tone of voice. I take this framework and flow it through to website copy, advertising and marketing material. My work is thorough, smart and high quality.

I love language and putting words together in ways that give me a chuckle, say something interesting or help convey a feeling. Words are my bread and butter, they satisfy my creative hunger and when you put them in the right order, they’re great signposts on this road called life.

Be passionate about and proud of the work you produce. Share the love too – when you collaborate with people that produce great work – let them know.
Know your sh*t.
Learn your craft, do your homework and back yourself, always. Oh and as a writer, make sure you know how to spell and write good. It’s the difference between knowing your shit, and knowing you’re shit.
Don’t be a d*ck.
It’s a simple rule for business and life. For me, it’s about acting with integrity and kindness, treating people with respect and expecting the same from others.
